Social Distancing and Staying Safe
What is it? Making sure there is always space between people, at least 3-6 feet. No non-essential touching (hugging, hand shaking, etc.). When having to touch or be touched, assuring universal precautions are being followed (washing hands prior to and after each contact with another person, wearing gloves when touching or potentially touching another person, frequent cleaning of bathrooms (toilet seats, bathtubs, sinks counters) and kitchens.
· Making sure any person entering the environment is healthy and free from any fever or other sign or symptom of illness
· Maintaining space between people during meals and activities
Things we can do:
· Be outside at parks AS LONG as there are not groups of 10 or more congregating. Go for a hike, take pictures in nature, breathe in the fresh air.
· Take a walk around the block….again make sure you are not congregating in groups of 10 or more and there is space between everyone
· Do a workout routine via YouTube or Pinterest at your home
· Movie nights – make some popcorn and watch a movie
· Game Nights – pick a board game to play
· Host a morning coffee/tea hour with your friends via video chat
· Cooking – make something special that each person can do on their own (i.e. individual pizzas for all!, decorate your own cupcake, mix up your own special pancake)
· Still see our friends and family via video chat (i.e. FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, SnapChat Video or other social media)
· Virtual Museum – use the smart tv to go on a virtual tour https://www.travelandleisure.com/attractions/museums-galleries/museums-with-virtual-tours
